Hool friend turn her life around As a physiotherapist at a military rehabilitation centre Carrie Spencer treats all kinds of people and injuries She just didn’t ever consider running into an old school friend and end up treating her In the midst of an abusive relationship Carrie is struggling to decide how she needs to act to safeguard herself and her boys Charlie and Richard Jackie is her bright light. SO SweetHero is a timeless romance between two women struggling to find peace in their lives seeking solace and strength with each other Jackie has come home from the war injured her life forever changed She has to be in the rehab hospital for weeks on end Her teenage children come to visit often but her husband is aloof and distant uninterested and absent Jackie s physio therapist Carrie is someone she knew as a child Carrie is sweet and attentive and caring Her visits soon becomes the highlight of Jackie s day The two of them come to lean on each other as they confront heartaches and celebrate milestones As the time passes their friendship is slowly turning into something Hero is such a sweet romance I absolutely adore Jackie and Carrie I like that they are older and mature women They are so sweet and loving and accepting but they are also strong in fighting for what they need out of life and together they find it They are lifelike in that they both have children and spouses and careers They know what life is about and what they want I enjoyed watching their friendship grow and turn into and I like the strength each woman possesses as they overcome their circumstances Some of Jackie s struggles are a bit simplistic and kids are all a bit too well behaved and but hey this is a romance novel and they are allowed to be shiny and sweet Im sure its a rule All in all this was a really good book that will give you a case of the Awwww s Well done Ms Meyrick

Very good bookThis was a very good book dealing with the after effects of war and injuries and PTSD and TBI injuries and how the veterans have to deal with family members in relation to said injuriesJackie and Carrie were very believable characters as were Dave and Toni regardless of how awful Hesse two characters we At the end I just felt that the whole issue with Toni was left a bit unfinished and was hoping that perhaps there will be a seuel that will deal with said issuesRegardless it was a very good book and I enjoyed it very much

Major Jackie Holmes is a career soldier with nearly twenty one years of service under her Returning home from Afghanistan injured makes her evaluate her life After her husband’s strange behaviour she realises the only people in her life she can count on to help with her recovery are her twins her parents and all the medical teams she finds herself surrounded with Could a chance encounter with an old sc. Jackie struggles to accept the changes in her life following her injury sustained in Afghanistan Her rehab therapist Carrie is the positive she needs to speed her rehabilitation Carrie has her own struggles on the home front which threaten their friendship and growing attraction I enjoyed getting to know these two women who meet when both are coming to terms with unhappy relationships and physical challenges The secondary characters are black and white and fall into good guy extremely bad guy roles but I still enjoyed watching the action as it developed Jackie s husband and Carrie s partner Toni are both rotten enough it s not hard for the reader to hope Jackie and Carrie find their way somehow towards a life together The four teens involved add to their need to find stable relationships Nicely done 35 stars

This is yet another book in the lesbian military fiction group And I loved it It seems I never tire of reading about these strong wounded women who persevere and find their HEA's in spite of adversity And of course there's a cliffhanger at the end How does one get rid of those psychotic ex girlfriends anyway?
