    This book is a landmark read that significantly adds to the research and bodies of literature around intimate partner violence the relationship between race class and gender criminology black feminism family structures access to social services and incarceration I would have to read it again but I throughly enjoyed it

    This was a bit difficult to read because I'm not involved with academia or research and I think some of the finer points about the common themes across interviews went over my head With that being said this book really made me think
