Read Crime after Crime Alexander Kane #1

The intense role now being played by all the parties involved come uickly careening into a nightmare as the game being played turns into a means to teach the Detective’s and Kane of their shortcomings and their indiscretions against the potential serial killer waiting and ready to strik. This book is Castle lite and I don t mean page numbers It s a uick read but I ve read and seen it better on Castle and in the Nicky Heat novels And at least in the Heat novels Rook is not compleately useless in the rescue Maybe it gets better as the serise pogresses but I don t see myself buying the book when I have such a limited book budget

Summary ↠ eBook, PDF or Kindle ePUB ✓ Tara W. Kent

R Kane a soap opera actor hoping to turn method actor and claim higher rolls in the businessThe trio forced together must cope with one another while hopefully breaking a case that seems to drag Kane further down the estranged path that holds its familiarities to his old life in the soaps. Actor Alex Kane vying for the lead in a TV crime series wants to improve his portrayal of a hard boiled detective His psychiatrist agrees to use his relationship with the NYPD Commissioner to get Kane appointed as an observer in the force Detective Kim Daniels gets the assignment to be Kane s babysitter Kane follows Daniels and her partner as they investigate their cases This brief novel deals with the murder of a woman apparently in a room full of spectators Kane follows the detectives as they investigate sometimes offering helpful suggestions but mostly making a charming nuisance of himself It is the author s first installation of the Alexander Kane series of which there are now a total of five all published August 26 of this yearThe narrative style and characterizations succeed in setting out a humorous and entertaining plot The dialogue at times is somewhat stylized but I believe it works The story is fairly simple and does not deal into sub plots or detailed background of the characters which is appropriate to the brevity of the book I have not read other books in the Alex Kane series but assume that the author intends to further build the characters in these further books Other reviewers have noted similarities between the plot and the TV series Castle I found this to be well written and entertaining read Recommended

TV script? This story was okay but TV script than novel Think a not very well disguised copycat of the Castle tv series except the character shadowing the detectives is an actor instead of a writerThe plot is underdeveloped things happen because they are needed to advance the story not because of natural progression Still it was somewhat entertaining
