I really enjoyed the first Judy Astley book that I read which was Every Good Girl I thought that the author was witty and clever The book also really held me from the first page I feel like this book really let her down The whole of the storyline is in the blurb The storyline was under developed I thought it was extreemly weak Nothing really happened and anything that did happen was just a repeat of what had already happened in the story As a result I found the main character Jay the mother rather dull and uninteresting to read about Her children who supported the main plot were interesting to me because they re storylines were building I just found Jay plain borring to read about because I read about this sort of stuff before and I found her uite annoying how she had no will power And that s not someone who I want to read about If I want to read about a character with no will power I ll read Confessions of a ShopaholicThere were good aspects of the book I kept reading the book and finished it relatively uick It just wasn t as well flowing as some of the books I ve read before I thought it was funny in places and the story had a good moral to it I wouldn t reccomend reading this particular book by Judy Astley though
